Hells Canyon
BY Anna Bates
description
216,981 acres of breath-taking vistas, high mountains, and ominous rim-rocks surround the deepest river-carved gorge in North America, called Hells Canyon. Hells Canyon itself is accessible by jet boat or raft.
Exploration of this rugged but beautiful wilderness will lead one to ancient tribal carvings in the rocks, deserted ranches, and closed-up gold mines. Activities in this beautiful area of the country include horseback riding, fishing, hiking, and driving.
